IBM Buys Unica for $480 Million

IBM snapped up Unica for a deal worth $480 million.  Unica is a leading marketing automation software maker.  IBM has a come a full circle with this acquisition with its previous ones such as CoreMetrics, Sterling Commerce, SPSS, Cognos  etc.  Now it can boast of a formidable line up of analytics software especially in the area of marketing analytics and the ones which predict consumer behavior.

It’s believed that IBM has allocated $20 Billion for such acquisition throughout 2015.
